It seems that we here in Honeaville aren't alone in adding on to our respective family units. Our friends Jason & Dawn were joined by their second son, Luke, and Steve & Ilana were greeted with their second daughter, Dalia. Congratulations to all of you! There must be something in this SoCal H20.

Coming Together

It looks like we've got a very good big brother on our hands. Already he is helping and doing whatever we ask to help "Baby Zane" as Atticus calls him. He is very curious and doting, sitting by Zane every chance he gets. When the baby is asleep in his bassinet, Atticus pulls up a seat and lays his head on the edge of it so as to watch Zane and the television at the same time. That is a man skill that will continue to help Atticus in the future.

New Addition Completed or Corner Gets Makeover

Zane Harrison Honea was born on 2/15/06 at 11:08 in the morning. He weighed in at 7lbs. 9 oz., about 2 pounds less than Atticus showed up with. As you can see above, Atticus was not very interested in connecting with his younger sibling upon their first meeting. However, as evidenced by the lead photo on this page, he came around.
That being the case, we here at Atticus' Corner have decided to go ahead and keep Zane in the mix. Therefore, this site will now be called A2Z. Get it? I know- it's clever.

The Last Supper, and Other Things

Everything now is the last something. The last time we'll do this or that as a family of three. Our last Sunday. Our last movie. Our last whatever. Soon it will be the last time something is the last time. That's deep.

We saw the movie today. It's really cute. The music was great. They did a nice job creating the feel of the books while still making it relevant to today's movie-goers, i.e. us. Take the kids and check it out.

Closer it comes, and closer still. Hidden between Valentines and the madness of March. There is a smile of impatience growing stronger among the contentment of routine. She is ready. And ready or not, closer it comes...

Like fields of grey that have flourished overnight, my face has given in to time and hope. The horizon that was my hairline has been defeated and left nothing but the shine of reflected sun to light the shadows of ever growing furrows. I feel the weight of responsibility growing heavier upon my slight shoulders.


There is love in this home. It is warm and endearing. It is crazy. The tension makes you scream. The anticipation makes you sweat. There is love in this home, and it is ready to come out.

Atticus has shed his golden locks, much to my chagrin. The girl that did the deed took off more than she was supposed to. Does this cut look super to you lady?

Of course, he is still handsome as ever, it's just now he looks like a little cop rather than a movie star. Oh well, it will grow back.
