HERE BE MONSTERS

There’s a monster in our family
With a back full of fur
He’s wooly and bully and often tom-fooly
More often than not
He’s just plain hot
With a coat of shag rug
On which I can tug
Whenever he’s got a hold of me
One quick pull will set me free
I wonder if he uses shampoo
To give that coif the appropriate do?
Mom says he should shave it off
Trying not to laugh I sort of cough
I don’t know why it’s funny to me
But shaving Dad’s back I’d like to see.
