We took the boys to visit friends and family in Tucson (Marana actually, return Ed Honea to mayor on March 13th!). We had a great time. The boys were good (aside from Zane's refusal to sleep) and enjoyed themselves immensely.
Thanks for the hospitality Arizona! Let us know when you would like the favor returned.

Atticus had some words with the ground last night. He is now a marked man.
I apologize for the video quality. I used the "capture video" option at YouTube, and it apparently doesn't work as well as me recording the video first.
Zane is finally walking. He started the day before he turned 11 months. Baby steps of course. He is up to 6-8 decent strides before taking a seat.
He should be running around in no time.

Zane is 11 months old today. He is a bumbling, stumbling ball of joy. He says the requisite "Ma-Ma", "Da-Da" and the occasional "hi" or "night-night". He's been standing like a champ since 6 months, but barely took his first steps/fall last night.
He's a looker. Like his old man.

The brother is cute too."The sun melts snow and chocolate." said Atticus. Atticus & Mickey Mouse Lennon Honea as he has been referring to himself. He was clutching a chocolate coin left by the turn-down maid at our Disney hotel. It was soft and starting to leak. I could tell a lot by the brown smudges on the face of pure innocence in the seat behind me.
"You're not eating that are you?" I asked.
"No, just licking it." was the reply.
"Fair enough."
Atticus & Mickey Mouse Lennon Honea has a knack for working the angle. He manages, almost daily, to prolong the hours before bedtime, skip naps and eat whole apples in between meals (he has yet to make the difference between crap and nutritious snack items). He has a command of language, logic, technicalities and puppy dog eyes that make even the most absurd request seem plausible. It's a gift.
This son melts more than snow and chocolate.

Atticus made a cookie for Santa. It was huge. Apparently he thinks we are the only house feeding the fat man.
Atticus has been dropping knowledge again, and darn if it isn't funny stuff. Here are just a few of the gems he's laid on us lately:
*Blue is my favorite color because I have blue shirts.
*I can't write because I'm not an artist. That's why I'm not a grow-up yet.
*Do you want a beer?
*I made a shopping list, eggs, macaroni and cheese, cookies, and wine-ade. I sure wish we had more chicken.
*Where the hell is the phone?
*I was a cookie, but now I'm pie. I can change.
*Daddy get mad, just like Donald Duck.
*May I please open a present now?
*Soda is for breakfast.
*I drawed in my belly button.
*Papa has sand in his ears.
*That made me scream like a little girl.
*I'm made of bones, brains, skin and farts. So is Zane. And Mickey Mouse.
