There’s a monster in our family
With a back full of fur
He’s wooly and bully and often tom-fooly
More often than not
He’s just plain hot
With a coat of shag rug
On which I can tug

Mom says he should shave it off
Trying not to laugh I sort of cough
I don’t know why it’s funny to me
But shaving Dad’s back I’d like to see.
Bored I am, cuz board I got.
I found it in a vacant lot.
At first I thought it would be good
to laugh and play with a piece of wood,
but it don't smile, and it don't run.

how are you today?
It's been 5 days and Atticus, while losing the fever, still has diarrhea. He's drinking plenty of fluids and doing the B.R.A.T. (bananas/rice/apples/toast) thing as instructed by the hospital, but, or should I say 'butt'. Period. That thing just keeps going. We've used more diapers in a week than in the previous month. Any ideas out there how to steady the flow?
